The Chittagong-based group Hefazat-e-Islam has called for a ban on ISKCON. Today, their slogan was: “Catch one ISKCON, then slaughter.” Hefazat-e-Islam has called for terrorism. They want to kill ISKCON members. Is ISKCON a terrorist organization that it should be banned? Have ISKCON members ever kill anyone while loudly chanting “Hare Krishna, Hare Rama”? On the other hand, Islamic terrorists shout “Allahu Akbar” while killing people. ISKCON exists in many countries around the world, and nowhere does it face such issues, but it does in Bangladesh. Why is that? Because in this country, there is a large number of Islamists and jihadists who cannot tolerate people of other religions. They use all sorts of tricks and tactics to harm non-Muslims or drive them out of their land. Hefazat-e-Islam is playing the role of the terrorists here, while ISKCON is the persecuted minority.

International Society for Krishna Consciousness or ISKCON; a Hindu Vaishnavite order is under ‘concerted’ attack in Bangladesh.
ISKCON is an internationally reputable religious organisation with presence in over 76 countries, spearhead the Hare Krishna Movement & following the principles of Sanatana Dharma, with the aim to acquaint all the people of the world with universal principles of self-realization and God consciousness, so that the highest benefit of spiritual understanding, unity and peace is achieved.
Other than organising the Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath, distributing the Holy Bhagavad Gita, they do various other social activities to help people in distress especially during natural calamities and other times of crisis, including in Bangladesh.
Now they are facing the wrath of a section of radicals in Bangladesh just because their Monks and Brahmacharis are being vocal about the persecution of the Minority Hindu Community and they are trying to help these helpless people.
This video was recorded this morning around 11 am, when a procession of radicals were going from Teri Bazar to Cheragi in Chattogram with the motive of instigating communal tensions. Listen to the slogans they were raising:-
” এই বাংলায় হবে না ইস্কনের ঠিকানা,
ইস্কনের ঠিকানা জ্বালিয়ে দাও পুড়িয়ে দাও,
ইস্কনের ঠিকানা ভেঙে দাও গুড়িয়ে দাও…”
” There is no place for ISKCON in this Bangla,
Burn down ISKCON, torch ISKCON’s addresses,
Raze down ISKCON, demolish ISKCON’s addresses…”
I am personally a devotee of the Hare Krishna Movement just like millions of people around the world.
If he radicals plan to go ahead with the sinister plan of attacking ISKCON, they won’t be able to handle the consequences.
